Get out of Recovery Mode in iPhone, iPad, iPod Touh, Exit Recovery Mode

This tutorial will show you how to exit recovery mode in case you get stuck in that loop for any reason, this will work for the following device (windows or mac):

      1. Exit Recovery mode for iPhone 4
      2. Exit Recovery mode for iPhone 3GS
      3. Exit Recovery mode for iPhone 3G
      4. Exit Recovery mode for iPad 1
      5. Exit Recovery mode for iPad 2
      6. Exit Recovery mode for iPod Touch 4G/3G/2G/1G
First thing you will need to do is to download the following files:
Now just follow the steps below:
  1. Create a new folder name it anything you like and save both files downloaded earlier in this folder.
  2. Unzip both files (Right click on the file and extract).
  3. Launch iTunes and plug your iPhone into your computer.
  4. Put your iPhone in DFU mode following the steps below:
      • Hold down the Home+Power button simultaneously for 10 seconds.
      • After 10 seconds, release the Power button but keep holding the Home button until iTunes detects your iPhone into DFU mode.
      • Do not close iTunes. Let it run in the background.
  5. Launch fixrecovery43.exe and just wait for it get your iPhone out of recovery mode.Make sure you have an active internet connection because fix recovery will be needing to fetch DFU and firmware image from Apple servers.

I was playing my 4th Gen. 32 Gig iPod Touch while it was plugged into the wall and the screen went berzerk and it shut off. I couldn’t turn it on and when I hooked it up to the computer, it said that the device was in DFU mode. What do I do? I’m stuck.

    • Support Team says:

Update it through iTunes to 5.1.1 if the update is not available then use the restore and browse for the Ipsw file that was downloaded by iTunes at the time of the first update it should be saved somewhere on your computer like:
      ~username/Library/iTunes/iPod Software Updates/

      • X-145 says:

My computer won’t even recognize the iPod and I still can’t get it to turn on, even while it’s plugged into the computer. My device is already at iOS 5.1.1 as well. I’ve tried the ‘hold the home and power buttons’ and stuff but it won’t turn on at all.

  4. Tony says:

Hey, none of these work for me, when i try to boot, it has a white flashy screen like and turns off. Sometimes it boots into connect to itunes, and it doesnt let me restore. I cant dfu mode it at all and when i press power and home, very rarely will it turn on and not for 10 seconds, it have to hold it for a VERY long time like 2 minutes. It all happened when i left my ipod open and it went out of battery. No programs work, and no problems out there fit my description. Should i just take it to the store?

    • Support Team says:

I was on the phone to apple for a good hour and they couldn’t do anything. Is there any way that you know how I could get it working again so I can get my photos off?

        Ipod touch 4G iOS 5.0.1.

I did the jailbreak when I bought it (I think almost 2 years ago). I have updated it to 5.0.1 when the Untethered version was released. It was working fine until 3 weeks ago. My ipod started freezing and rebooting by it self when I entered in some aplications… so I decided to format it. But as dumb as am I … I tried to format it by iTunes! It went well until it shown the error 3194. By there my Ipod entered in the restore mode and not a single s%^&* has taken it out of this mode! I tried iFaith, iREB, sn0wbreeze, Redsn0w… every single tool that good God Google has shown me… Even tried to f&%* up with iTunes to restore my Ipod! I’ve tried every single way to fix the erros that iTunes came up with!
I am almost giving up… I have no more ideas to fix it… I think yours method is my last try… and one of the only ones that took my ipod to somewhere. I think TinyUmbrella finished to do whatever it does! My Ipod is off now and I don’t know what to do!

I am trying to restore it to iOS 5.0.1 that was the last update that I’ve done. Any ideas, man?

        • Support Team says:

You can only downgrade if you have the SHSH Blob saved for 5.0.1

You will not be able to downgrade to any iOS older than the most current one which is in this case 5.1.1 UNLESS you have saved the SHSH Blob for your device for the iOS version you wan to downgrade to.

          • ARSy says:

          • Support Team says:

So you are trying to downgrade from 4.3.5 to 4.3.4 ? Why?

          • ARSy says:

I’m trying to downgrade from 5.1.1 to 4.3.5 or 4.3.3 because I have got Gevey for it.
