iOS 6 Beta 4 Users Can Now Jailbreak Their iPhones

iOS 6 Beta 4 has just been released to developers.  Of course, the new firmware is still in beta and, at the moment until the fall of 2012, is only available to developers who have accounts with Apple.  So this basically means that you have to have your iDevice’s UDID tied with a developer account.  Of course, there are other ways to get the new beta onto your iDevice without having an account as well.  iOS 6 Beta 4 comes with new fixes and the biggest change is that YouTube is no longer a default application.  Apple stated that their contract with Google for YouTube to be a default app has expired and that YouTube as a separate application will be available on the App Store in the future.

 

Today, tools have been released so that you will be able to jailbreak your iDevice on iOS6 beta 4!  This is huge news for anybody who is enjoying the current beta firmware on their devices.  But there comes with it some caveats as well.  The most major ones being that this jailbreak is only for the iPhone 4 and the iPod Touch 4^th generation, Cydia apps and tweaks are not all optimized for the new iOS (in fact, Cydia will not be installed at all), and the jailbreak is tethered which means that you have to use the tool each time you reboot your iPhone just to be able to make it fully functional, and hacktivation is not supported on this so you will need your sim to activate over Apple’s servers.

That being said, there is no doubt that there are those of you out there who still want to jailbreak your iDevice.  To do that, just sign up with us and we will provide you with the tools and the tutorials so you can do just that without any problems.

Once you download the things you need, just follow the steps:

• Make sure to get the latest tools from us and that it is compatible with your system, whether its PC or Mac.
• Uncompress all the contents of what you download into a familiar location on your desktop or computer.
• Download the iOS6 Beta.  We cannot provide you this as it will be illegal but a simple Google search will lead you to all sorts of sources for this.  You can also get a copy from anybody that you know who has access to the iOSDevCenter; however it has to be specific to the device that you are attempting to jailbreak which means that your UDID has to be signed with that friends account.
• Always make a full backup of the contents of your iDevice after connecting it to your iTunes.  An iCloud backup is also recommendable.
• Run the program and then select Extras.  Then click on Select IPSW.
• Then hit the Jailbreak button.
• The rest of the process will run itself and you will be informed to enter DFU mode with a set of provided instructions.
• The jailbreak will run after you enter DFU mode and you will have to run the program again when it reboots.  This time click the Just Boot button so that your iPhone or iPod Touch will run.

Remember that Cydia will not be installed because it is not ready for iOS6.  So for whatever reason that you want to jailbreak your device, it will just be for novelty purposes just as proof that it can be done.  Otherwise, there is really not much you can do with the device itself.  Let us know in the comments what you think and if you have found what you can do with a jailbroken iDevice on iOS6 Beta 4!
