Clean Your iDevice With iCleaner
Ever wondered what goes on inside your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad? We really cannot monitor what files are created, where everything is (although we have a view through packages like iFile), and which files are junk files that we don’t need in our iDevices at all. So what happens? We let it just sit there and fester. Over time, we start to realize that our iDevices start to respond slower and process things slower as well. No matter what anybody tells you, this does happen and you can’t deny this slowing of the device. But there is something that you can do about it.
A new tweak on Cydia aims to clean out trash from your iDevice. It can be installed in any of the iDevices that you own and you can run it to automatically get rid of all the junk files that reside in your iOS system. You need to have an iPhone on jailbreak so that you can download this app from Cydia. Get a glimpse of what we offer you when you become a member. We offer all the tools and tutorials that you need to get your jailbroken device up and running in the least amount of time possible.
The new app on Cydia that we are talking about is called iCleaner. This is an app that was designed specifically for the smaller devices but it works well on the iPad as well. It is a simple app with one button to clean up your temp files and other things that it asks you to delete. You can choose the items you can delete, the application will ask you questions before it runs anything. The concept of flushing out useless items, however, is nothing new. If you are adept at using something like Mobile Terminal, then you can use certain commands to purge your system of the impurities that plague it and slow it down.
Since this is an application from Cydia, you will get a new icon on your iDevice homescreen. iCleaner is really useful in that it will delete all partially downloaded Cydia packages, obsolete cache files, cookies, browsing history, Mobile Safari cache files, and cache files from all other apps. It can even go through your social network apps like Facebook and Instagram to look for trash. Hard worker if you ask us! Finetuning this application is also possible but you will have to use Mobile Terminal to do that. Don’t worry if you think that this app will break your iPhone. It won’t. It’s just a cleaner just like your trash is just trash.
Getting rid of the junk means that you can free up space in your iPhone and this can sometimes mean freeing up hundreds of megabytes that were just pieces of data trash wasting space. This is a great way to free up space and speaking of free, this is exactly what it is on Cydia. Get your clean on with iCleaner and let us know in the comments if this is something that you think you will be using to free up more space in your iDevice.
