Make Your iPhone Search Reach Wider With Searchenable

One of the weaknesses of the iPhone when it first came out was that you could only use the default search engine Google.  They later on added Yahoo and Bing to the fold and within the Settings, you could choose what you wanted your default search engine to be.  But that doesn’t seem to be enough and truth be told, it isn’t.  There are just so many other sources for information on the Internet, so why not make them all an option as the standard default search for Mobile Safari?  With a new tweak from Cydia, this is now possible.

Of course, to be able to download and use this tweak, you will need to jailbreak your iPhone.  This is a legal process and one that is so easy that installing software in your computer is a little more complicated.  Naturally, not everyone is so savvy when it comes to stuff like this, and for first-timers the jailbreak can be a little intimidating no matter how easy it is.  But we can offer you a risk-free situation by making sure you are provided with the best tools and tutorials that will make the jailbreak a whole lot easier.  Just sign up here with us and we will be sure to make you good to go with the rest.

After you jailbreak your iPhone, you might want to check out this new tweak called Searchenable.  What it does is provide you with a way to make your default search into more than just Google, Yahoo or Bing.  Through the Settings application, you will be able to try out other different services such as Wolfram Alpha, Ask, Baidu, blekko, Sougo, Volunia, Yandex, a bunch of other information portals that you can trust will give you the data that you need.  By simply choosing one of these services on the list, you will change the default search on Mobile Safari.

You might be thinking that Google is the only thing you need.  However, there are just so many tidbits of information that sometimes Google cannot find for you.  Blame it on their algorithm and their outrageous way of deciding what should come on top of the search when you look for something.  Seriously, an apple is not a company that offers computer products to various consumers around the world.  It’s a fruit.  So find a search engine that actually tells you the truth.

That being said, we are not saying that there is one solid search engine out there that gives the exact data that you require.  Perhaps this is why there are so many options that Searchenable gives so that you can choose the best option for you.  Available on Cydia, it is free and definitely something worth looking into, especially if you are an avid mobile Internet surfer.  It just makes sense to have more options.  What do you think about this tweak?  Join us in the comments below and let us know if this is something you can imagine yourself using.  Let us know also of the outrageous results that you get from doing simple searches.
