iPhone Tips & Tricks #136: Disable Location Services On iPhone

Location services have been quite the topic for last couple of years on the iPhone.  Some might say that having these turned on will give away your exact location, which can be pretty dangerous and downright annoying for the paranoid.  Ther have also been the intermittent scandals where location services have been said to be the culprit in sharing private information to the world without users actually knowing.

If you want to be sure that you are safe at all times, the best advice is to keep these services off.  You can do this by going into the Settings app on your iPhone.  Tap on Location Services and you have the option to turn it off completely for all apps, or you can choose which apps you want to disable when it comes to these services.

This tip works on all iPhone models on any iOS firmware version.
