iPhone Tips & Tricks #208: Crop A Contact Photo

The nice thing about the iPhone contacts is that you can assign Photos to each of them.  When you do this, whenever a contact calls you, you will see their photo pop out and you instantly know who is calling without even looking at the name of the person.  This is how you can add Photos to your contacts.

Go into your Contacts application and then choose any contact that you want to add a photo to.  Then click on the Edit button or click on the empty space provided for the photo to be placed.  This will open the gallery on your iPhone and you can choose an image.  You can then expand or make the photo smaller with just pinch gestures so that it fits into the space provided.  Press Set Photo and you are done.

This is a tip that works with all iPhone models on any iOS firmware version.
