iPhone Tips & Tricks #246: Transfer Your Data From Old iPhone To New One
If you have been a loyal iPhone user since the day it came out, you may be glad to know that you will be able to transfer all your data from your old iPhone to your new one without any hassle whatsoever. You can do this with any iPhone that you will be using in the future.

iCloud aside, all you have to do is plug your old iPhone to your computer and allow iTunes to detect it. Then click on Sync if it doesn’t automatically sync your iDevice. It is always best to click Sync just to be sure. Unplug that old iPhone and then plug in your new one. You will be asked to register your iPhone if you haven’t already. Then, you will be asked to set up your new iPhone either as a new phone or from an old backup. Choose restoring from a back up and then select the one that was just made with the old iPhone. The new iPhone will reboot and all your data will be on your new iPhone before you can even say IPSW.
This tip works on all iPhone models on any iOS firmware version.
