iPhone Tips & Tricks #250: How To Delete Old iOS Backups
For whatever reason there is, you just might not need all those backups created whenever you sync your iPhone. And the only good reason for that is that you probably have no more space in your computer, Mac or PC, and you would like to free up some more for other things.

To do this, open your iTunes program on your Mac or on your Windows computer. Then from the menu, click on Preferences. Click on the Devices tab and you will see all the iOS device backups on iTunes. You will also see the data that has been backed up. Click on the one you would like to delete. You will need to confirm the deletion before you can continue. You can do this for any of the backups, or all of them if this is your intention.
This is a tip that works for all iPhone models on any iOS firmware version.
