iPhone Tips & Tricks #253: How To Create Allowance For Children

One of the best gifts you can give your kids is an iPod Touch and, of course, their own allowance in the form of an account that they can use to download their favourite apps.

All you have to do is launch iTunes on your PC or Mac.  Then click on the iTunes store on the left.  You will see a Quick Links menu on the right hand side where you can click on Buy iTunes Gifts.  Look for the Allowances option and then set up an allowance.  Just fill in the provided form and you have set up an allowance that your kids can use to get the apps that they want.  Create an Apple ID for them when you are done.

This works on all iPhone models on any iOS firmware version.
