iPhone Tips & Tricks #254: How To Redeem Gift Cards On iTunes

Perhaps you received a gift card from a friend or you just don’t have a credit card and would rather use those gift cards that you can buy for your iTunes accounts.  Once you get the card, you might wonder what you need to do next.

To redeem the gift cards on iTunes, all you have to do is select the Music tab on the bottom menu.  Then scroll to the bottom of the featured albums and you will see a Redeem icon.  Click on Redeem and then type in the promo code that is on the iTunes gift card in the provided field.  Then click on Redeem on the top right corner.  The amount will then be credited to your account just like you put money in a bank account and you can use that credit to buy whatever you want on iTunes.

This is a tip that works on all iPhone models on any iOS firmware version.
