iPhone Tips & Tricks #268: Stop Your iPod App From Skipping Music Tracks

Since all music is digital on your iPhone, you no longer have to worry about tracks skipping like a CD player will do when you start dancing around the house.  Of course, there is another way that the iPhone will skip tracks while you are dancing and it can happen if you have the Shake to Shuffle setting switched on.  This means that when you shake the device, the next track will play.  Can you imagine trying to dance to skipping music?

To turn off this feature, go to the Settings application on your iPhone.  Then scroll down to the iPod or Music preferences tab.  You will see the Shake to Shuffle feature there and it is on by default.  Toggle it to off and the next time you dance with your iPhone on your body, you will be sure to enjoy the same track all throughout your session.

This tip works on all iPhone models on any iOS firmware version.
