iPhone Tips & Tricks #278: Posting A Video To YouTube

The iPhone camera is not only great for taking great pictures. You can even take great video in the highest resolution possible.  Of course, leaving the video on your device really defeats the purpose and you may want to share this with your friends around the world.  In iOS5, YouTube integration is available and iOS6 is going to get rid of it soon.

For now, however, you can still open the Photos application, select the video that you want to upload and then Upload To YouTube.  Remember that you need to be signed in to your YouTube account and it will prompt you for it if not. Also, your YouTube clip must be 10 minutes at most.  Any larger and it will not allow you to upload to the online service.

This tip works on all iPhone models running iOS 5.1.1 and below.
