iPhone Tips & Tricks #50: How To Access Scientific Calculator

One of the things that you will probably use your iPhone for, especially if you are a student, is the calculator.  The iPhone calculator application is a joy to use and since it’s on your iPhone, you seriously have some juice to show off when you are using it around the campus.  But one of the awesome things about the calculator is that you can also use it in scientific mode.

Make sure that your orientation lock is not activated before doing this.  This means that you must be able to use your iPhone in landscape mode.  Then open your calculator and then put your iPhone in landscape mode.  Basically, you are just putting your iPhone on its side.  Then you will see the calculator expand itself to show you all the scientific calculator goodness that you need for your studies!

This is a built in application feature and is available on all iPhones on all iOS versions.
